Guapiles mushrooms come from a sample origincally collected in Guápiles, a town located inland, in the Limon province of Costa Rica. The area has a tropical rainforest climate, and lies along the path of several rivers. The rocky terrain of the region made for a dicey foraging experience, but these genetics were well worth the journey.
